Them's the rules, kids....
Sep. 24th, 2014 07:07 pmBelow find the list of rules THAT CAN BE ADDED OR CHANGED so I suggest you frequently check it because if you break one...yeah. You know the deal.
So here we go.
1) NEVER USE TEXT TALK. That is an INSTANT BLOCK rule. If you're too lazy to type a 3 letter word then you're too lazy to RP with us. ALSO KNOW HOW TO SPELL and which word you want. THE FIRST TIME you use "to" for "too" or "their" for "they're" you'll be blocked. Anyone over the age of 10 should know this rule just to get by in real life. Typos are FINE. They're a way of life. But you can't blame typos on 27 "mistakes". There's a limit to everything.
2) These chars are as close to canon post S5 and pre S8. So yes, SOME characters don't necessarily have to be "dead" or gone and some characters don't exist. We have reasons. Trust us.
3) As for canon, THIS MEANS THAT you must stay as close to the char on the show as possible. Mannerisms, they're role in the BAU, what they do after hours, etc. Reid will not sleep with JJ. Hotch is NOT interested in Prentiss sexually. Derek will not bang Garcia. And for GOD'S SAKES Rossi won't do anyone. At least on the team. Hotch is the leader. Spencer is socially awkward but a genius. Derek is the beef. Rossi's the old dog. Prentiss is kick ass and NO. JJ is STILL the liaison. She is NOT an "agent in training". SO drop that idea. And Garcia is the tech kitten.
4) If the chars are in danger and something happens (Shot, stabbed, hit with a board) and you god mode and refuse/ignore the hit YOU WILL BE BLOCKED. God Moding is childish and stupid. Take the hit! Or pray that your teammates will have your back and keep you safe.
5) SOME original characters might be allowed. BUT EVERYONE will have to go through an interview. The leaders of this are Hotch & Spencer. If you don't know who they are then go back to the list and look for them .
6) DMs ARE ONLY ALLOWED IF ASKED ON THE TL FIRST. THIS RULE IS UNBREAKABLE. A lot of people DM and just expect it to be "okay". WRONG. If you're caught DMing someone without asking, you WILL BE BLOCKED. If you @ someone and they don't answer in 24 hours, feel free to @ me (Spencer) and I can contact whomever you need to talk to.
7) NO PERSONAL INFORMATION will be given out. Keep it IC or we won't be held responsible for your woes.
8) IF YOU LEAVE AND DO NOT POST IT ON THE TL and just "disappear" then you WILL BE BLOCKED from all future RPs. This is just RUDE and inconsiderate and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AT ALL.
9) THERE WILL BE NO EXPLICIT LANGUAGE OR EXCESSIVE SWEARING ALLOWED. Period. The characters don't say "God damn this fucking piece of shit unsub can go suck my dick and fuck himself" so it's NOT ALLOWED here. The occasional swear is fine. But WATCH IT. More than say 5 times in one session and you're blocked. Also i your chars are going to engage in relations and you insist on doing it on the TL, KEEP IT CLEAN. AND I MEAN SQUEAKY. No "cock, pussy, fuck, cunt, cum, dick..." etc. is allowed. You CAN do this in a nice way and still get your point across. Trust me. I've done it.
YES there will definitely be "romantic" situations involving 2 people that will lead up to and may include sex BUT the language will not be explicit and if you have a problem with it, then don't follow and for GOD'S SAKES don't start pandering your pedantic ideas that it's wrong. Take a look at all the other CM RPs and then come back and tell us we're doing it wrong. We are not going to take anything to DMs just because there are prudes online or people that seem to think they own the first amendment. No. You don't. So if it's gonna happen then you're gonna see it.
Last of all this is freakin ROLE PLAY. Don't take it personal if your char gets chewed out or one of the team has issues and is having a bad day. IT HAPPENS IN RP. Characters may gave a bad day, but if you are in RL then keep it off the TL. Just don't bother with it If you can't distinguish REAL LIFE from ROLE PLAYING then get offline or you will be blocked if you start to whine about it. We're all here to have fun. Not to complain about everyone or whatnot.
In short, we are NOT your brothers/fathers/sisters/significant others so I can guarantee you we don't give a rat's ass if your life sucks or if you or if your mom's a bitch or your brother is an ass. It's called life and you need to get offline and deal with it. NOT bring it to the RP.
ALL OF THE CHARS STAY IN CHARACTER. Yes even the animals. If you want to ask anything out of character MAKE SURE you put it in (( ))s. Otherwise you will be ignored. Also, keep the chatter to a minimum. Any unneccessary OOC chat will be a reason to ignore you.
